Professor of the Department of Languages and Computer Systems of the University of Alicante. He has been deputy director of Computer Engineering at the Higher Polytechnic School and coordinator of the Telephone Chair at the University of Alicante on "Use and Applications of Big Data He is also a member of the WaKe research group and the University Institute for Research in Informatics.."
His research focuses on open data management, data integration, and business intelligence in smart tourist destinations and the design of data-intensive web applications. In addition, he has participated in R&D projects on smart tourist destinations and intelligent cities with particular emphasis on open data management; as well as in science projects such as the Spanish Network on Open Research Data (MAREDATA, https://maredata.dlsi.ua.es/) and the European Open Science Cloud association (EOSC, https://eosc.eu /) where he is part of the working group on interoperability of data and services. He has published his research in international impact journals such as Decision Support Systems, Information Sciences, Data & amp; Knowledge Engineering, ACM Transaction on the Web, or Current Issues in Tourism. In addition, he has taught courses and workshops on the concept of reusing public sector information and the entrepreneurial opportunities that open data ecosystems provide for a tourist destination.
He was also part of the team that developed the open data and transparency project of the University of Alicante, including its open data portal: datos.ua.es. He is currently director of the University of Alicante Headquarters in Torrevieja, from where he has collaborated in the start-up of the Intelligent Tourism University Laboratory (TI-LAB, https://lab.turismodetorrevieja.com/) where he leads the line of work in open data management for tourism.

Doctor in Computer Science (Ph.D. University of Alicante), Expert in technology and data management, and the value they can bring to business, educational, and citizen processes, with experience in various research projects related to Open Data, Technology Management, that have been published in indexed journals and electronic books.


He has been a tenured Research Professor in the Department of Computer Science at UTPL. His work focuses on the integration and interoperability of global and decentralized information environments to contribute to digital transformation. He directs the Knowledge-Based Systems, research group. He has a degree in Computer Science Engineering, a degree in Business Administration), and a Doctor in Software and Systems from the Polytechnic University of Madrid (2016). He is currently the General Director of Information Technology and Digital Transformation at UTPL.

Petroleum Engineer from the Central University of Ecuador has a Higher Diploma in Senior Management of Petroleum Negotiation, Specialization in Administration and Control of Environmental Pollution, and a Master's Degree in Hydrocarbon Production. He was an Engineer in the CEPE – Texaco Consortium Petroleum Engineering Department. He served as a Consultant. He is a Technical Advisor and General Manager of several consulting and technical assistance companies for the oil and mining industries. He has been a Professor of Master's programs in several Ecuadorian Universities, participated in congresses and lectured in some countries, published texts and articles in indexed journals, and received countless awards for his management and Diplomas of Scientific Merit. He is currently Director General-Editor of FIGEMPA magazine: Research and Development and serves as Dean of the Faculty of Geology, Mining, Petroleum, and Environmental Engineering of the Central University of Ecuador.


Postdoctoral researcher at the Jaume I University of Castellón-Spain in space-time statistics and a professor in the Mathematics Department of the National Polytechnic School (EPN). Member of the MODES research group of the University of A Coruña and the EPN research groups: SIGTI and IMPP.
He has participated in more than 30 national and international congresses and published more than 20 scientific articles, three book chapters, and one book. He is a reviewer for several national and international research journals. He has also been an evaluator for research projects at several national universities and a reviewer for some books on computational statistics. In addition, he has participated as a member of the scientific committee for several national statistical research congresses.


Doctor in Latin American Studies from the UASB-E and political scientist at Flacso-Ecuador and the University of St. Gallen (Switzerland). He is a research professor at the Central University of Ecuador (UCE) and director of its Economic Research Institute (IIE-UCE). His research centers on the political and social construction of agrifood markets, the processo of (trans)formation of municipal markets, agrifood chains and networks, fair trade, popular and solidarity economies, and rural territories.
